@BryanB02 if you are talking about Chomsky I don't know. But if you mean the guy I was responding to then I have to disagree: it's a fake democracy of people who think they are entitled to give their opinion on everything, even if it's an obnoxious, uninformed opinion. Also, if you look closely you will notice that complaints from corporations over copyrights sometimes lead to youtube accounts being closed. I would say youtube bows down to corporate interests, which is against democracy anyway.

@Regenmacher175 As an anarchist, how do you define yourself?
@MisterBouncyBounce ...( 5 months ago by TheLiteraturist)
@MisterBouncyBounce Not to appear obnoxious, but would you answer a few questions for me? How do you guarantee this philosophy does not lead you to warfare? What if those who are unjustly treading upon others have the capability to do so without being held accountable? Does their capability, whether it be intelligence, strength, organization, etc., ultimately justify their actions? I appreciate your input, thank you. :)
@TheLiteraturist I ...( 5 months ago by Regenmacher175)
@TheLiteraturist I am more of a pacifist anarchist. maybe anarcho-syndicalist. I oppose violence as a means to fight violence but i fear that civil disobedience, while useful if many people do it, will not be enough to change the current power structure in the United States. I despise any fomr of corporation and the capitalist system, which is not to say that I want communism but responsible spending would be nice. Any kind of authority needs to prove its legitimacy. That's me in a nutshell.
@Regenmacher175 ...( 5 months ago by TheLiteraturist)
@Regenmacher175 Thank you for clarifying that for me. Usually when I think anarchist I think of the stereotypical 'down with the man, any means necessary' archetype - a label that from what you just told me does not fit you. Thanks for the info.
@TheLiteraturist ...( 5 months ago by Bodhidharma1986)
@TheLiteraturist There are as many traditions within Anarchism (several styles and leanings) as there are thinkers that are "Anarchist" (which number in the hundreds, including Chomsky) that wrote about the topic. If you're curious, the best introductory book to Anarchism that's serious that I ever read was "Anarchism" by Dr. Daniel Guerin. There's an intro to it from Chomsky too, I think. Can't remember. Basic enough in the beginning but gets richer and more complex as its read. Just an idea.

What "DISGUSTING" is that this is one of the methdes that the Germans-Nazies use in "GETHO-WARSHA" and "Hawshvitts" in Germany and I know for sure some Russians-Jews doing this horrible horrible "Electronic Weapon" and more torturing on some Targeted-Individual" that they are Jews also! Well this is just one of the all too many cases on our books of Americanism. The only way that we can fight this terrible debilitating social disease, is by informing the general public of its consequences, by showing young people that it's just not worth it. So please give generously to this address: The League for fighting the United States of America, 55 Lincoln House, Basil Street, London, SW3.

@Regenmacher175 We don't even have what you would call a true democracy here. A true democracy would make it where everyone's voice mattered, not how we have it where no one except for the elite can make the decisions that effect everyone. Not only do we not have decent healthcare here, we also have terrible schools. My little brother is in 6th grade, and he's just learning things that I had already known by the end of 4th grade. This was only 8 years ago, so that failed fast
Chomsky is ...( 1 month ago by ocruadlaoic)
Chomsky is inserting his opinion when he says that Madison thought the "primary goal" of government was to Protect the opulent from the majority. In fact in context Madison used an Analogy that if all people in England were to vote equally then the result would be land divided up and given to the poor (socialism). So Madison thought that democracy could lead to this type of Socialism and now Senators and the Electoral college reflect this balance of power. To say "Primary goal" is misleading.

@SmileyGarrish People don't worship george bush here. The corporate govt that has taken over the country is the problem. The purpose of govt,under the constitution is to protect individual rights....The price of health care is high because it is partially paid for by the govt (medicare/medicade) this has driven the cost up. It is an insurance company scam...if we revert back to the constitution, and remove corporate control the US will be a great country again.most hate the govt

@rogerable77 The Vast Majority has been entirely irrelevant throughout American History, and by that I mean what actually happened and why, not what you and the vast majority think happened. America was born destroying treaties and established law; the 'founding fathers' fought the British only so that they themselves could become Dark OverLords, exploiting and abusing their own people. The foreign policy of these same people has been one of deceit, betrayal, murder, and mass collateral damage.

The US is a farce totally controlled by the dirty Jews. It's a filthy, dirty, rotten country in every way. Just look at its history. The US's mindless idolization of muddled words such as democracy, free enterprise, and equal rights serves as an ideal cover from the fact that its a brutal dictatorship based on lies, based on theft. Its a fake country controlled by a criminal, lunatic race that's going to get what's coming to it very soon.
