Firestorm Spark Plugs

FireStorm's Capabilities:
First, let's look at what FireStorm spark plugs give an internal combustion engine:
• More horsepower;
• 44--50% increase in mpg;
• Dramatic decrease in emissions.
Second, let's see what FireStorm plugs eliminate:
• Smog pump;
• Catalytic converter;
• Radio frequency interference (RFI) and the use of resistors in the centre electrode;
• Gap growth;
• Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems;
• Misfire/hesitation/detonation/stutter and stumble.
How, you may ask, is all this achieved? In a word, plasma

I recomend some 4 prong Bosch platinum plugs,a Bosch 02 sensor and premium wires,valve adjustment and timing belt check or belt replacement.And you should be good.

what an absolute ... ( 1 year ago by Baptisteiom)
what an absolute load of shite. running an engine at 24/1? bit lean isnt it. plug may be able to take the heat but are the pistons up to the job? or the Head gasket? where is the extra air comming from? or has it just decreased the fueling? it would run like a bag of shit, and would melt something.

@SY1WEK When they talk about extra air, they are talking about the air to fuel ratio. They worded it funny. They should have just said it needs less fuel. From what I can see it burns the gas more completely so you'll need less gas.

having a 24/1 compression ratio would pre-ignite the gas wouldnt it? so these plugs are pointless.

Reducing the ratio ... ( 1 year ago by FNK7NK)
Reducing the ratio of Air-Fuel lower thant 14,7 to 1 will lean the mixture and the combustion will run hotter causing a drastic raise in Nx. Pointless solution, only viable IF it consume less power to spark, much like Iridium does vs copper sparkplug. A finer tip = less voltage drawn = reduced load on the alternator, thus reduced fuel consumtion/increase power.

Reducing the air ... ( 1 year ago by Rommetje9)
Reducing the air fuel ratio the flame temperature will decrease, as will the flame speed. So if you go lean you need to advance your timing or your pressure volume phasing of the piston / cylinder won't be optimum and you'll end up not using the work potential in the gases and they'll remain hotter than if they did work. So the exhaust temps may increase, but the flame temps will decrease. If you don't change the spark timing to reflect the a/f ratio you won't be at MBT & you'll lose hp.

Did these ever get released? I'd love to try some if they are made or sold anywhere and compare...that is the best way to verify. Everything else is just conjecture.
@FNK7NK copper is ... ( 10 months ago by lynel1985)
@FNK7NK copper is much more conductive then iridium, but the difference still isnt going ot have a measurable differnce on fuel economy
@lynel1985 Indeed ... ( 10 months ago by FNK7NK)
@lynel1985 Indeed it's close to none, but as time goes on, the wear on the copper plug is much faster and the gap widen between the electrode and the cathode, thus creating an increasing load on the electrical system, load = losses so more fuel to burn to get the same power output. Copper is good and cheap, but require more maintenance and replacement. Also they don't handle well the newer high high voltage output of newer cars, one of the reason car maker use Iridium.
The best spark ... ( 10 months ago by FNK7NK)
The best spark plug is one that can ignite all of the combustion gases at once. Some design are better to make the reaction faster. High voltage is one of those solution. More intense spark also help. But in the end, a spark plug of the same diameter will net around the same result. 2-3-4... spark plugs could net better results, but it,s not economically viable for a marginal gain. In the end, just use long life spark plug. Done

Out of curiosity i ... ( 9 months ago by JTFOCoD4)
Out of curiosity i wonder how he got such a lean burn and eliminated the amount of NOx that would build up. As anybody knows, the leaner you run an engine( more air than fuel) means that the Internal temperatures of the engine will skyrocket meaning the that the levels of Oxides Of Nitrogen will fail your car on its MOT due to emissions.
So fitting these plugs to your standard car is really a bad idea unless you have a very very good EGR system and cooling system not to mention an SCR system

wow so many faults ... ( 1 month ago by men8ifr)
wow so many faults with this video:
1 - fire plug looks nicer in the video because it distributes the spark around, the regular plug fires at the same spot every time - both have merits only an engine dyno will reveal the truth not a pretty video.
2 - Emissions go down - are you kidding! ever heard of NOx?? NOx increases with higher AFR ratio's.
3 - His car car fuel economy went up because he leaned it out! (no manufacturers can do this due to emissions (NOx again)
