Delta was fine. Charged me $25 per, just like normal checked items (4people/4bags). TSA at SJC in CA was a bit weird. They don't allow you to be present while they inspect your cases. That part kind of freaks me out since I was traveling with about $2K in firearms (rifle, shotgun, 5 handguns) and had no way to verify they had re-locked the cases correctly. Honestly it sounds like they cared more about checking for explosive residue than if the firearms were loaded or not.
