this was going to be a 2 part series, but I edited it down to 1 video (almost entirely my parts were edited, as I didn't want to be accused of taking fox's clips 'out of context'). anyway, i thought it came out well, so enjoy :)
last but not least, check out my other channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/c0ctalk

You're a moron. Creationism is nonsense, evolution is a proven theory - in fact, it is literally observable across generations of bacteria and yeast species. (I'll give you a few points for saying that Creationism should be "kept quiet" however).
i can play that game too!
Because you feel God IS real and ISN'T myth, doesn't mean it's fact. Some of you CHRISTIANS are very self rightious (sic).
how fun!
Yes, some people believe Creationism is a myth. They have a right to believe that. It's a legitimate opinion. But the key word is "opinion," because the question of whether it is a myth or not CANNOT BE EMPIRICALLY SOLVED.
Now let's talk about about SCIENCE. Science is a field that explores those questions which CAN BE EMPIRICALLY SOLVED.
So why is a SCIENCE BOOK containing an OPINION that has nothing to do with SCIENCE? It's downright asinine.
No, that's a straw man. I don't know of anyone pushing for biblical "Creationism" to be taught in science class since the 30's. Where you been?
I'm not asking for it "both ways." I'm asking for science to be confined to those matters which are open to empirical investigation.
In the last decades it has not been Christians, but more often secularists who have attempted to go beyond what can be empirically determined. CASE IN POINT.
only a couple of years ago schools in texas pushed (and succeeded) to have a sticker put in the front cover of biology books claiming that evolution is just a theory, and there are other theories, such as creationism."
now you tell me who is pushing on "matters which are open to empirical investigation"?
You got your facts wrong. The state was Georgia, the effort was unsuccessful, and the text DID NOT include "there are other theories such as Creationism." (Interesting how these facts get distorted.) So this does not qualify as evidence of your claim.
While I agree that saying evolution is "not a fact" technically oversteps the bounds of empiricism, the anti-Creationists have far more often put statements WITHIN textbooks which boldly disregard those boundaries.
Tom,
In the interest of fairness, do you really want to say "Christians" are "against democratic views"? Or "against stem cell research"? (Instead of only a small branch of it which has not shown promise.)
Also, are you unaware that a huge portions of Christians have no problem with an old earth / Big Bang and in fact feel it jibes with scripture?
I have a degree in Physics, and I'm very much of the view that whatever NATURE tells us must necessarily jibe with our theology.
