I learnt the chinese names of my friends (i think its only fair) and i love pronouncing them! I think it is more personal.
For strangers however, i can understand the need
I believe it would make class that much more enjoyable.
I just chose mine, it's 夏美芝
夏 = Xia [sheeya] (last name) meaning "summer"
美芝 = Meizhi [may-jurr] (first name) meaning "beautiful iris"
