The audience for ... ( 2 weeks ago by ArtemisCho)
The audience for TEDtalks is always on the quiet side. It's just their way of showing respect by not being too loud so that the speaker can be heard. Also, speakers have a limited amount of time on stage, so allowing him to finish what he wanted to say is them being polite.
You are all assuming this is at some comedy club. =/ This is TEDtalks! It's for presentations on issues in today's times. (or future ideas) He was selected to speak here, not many get that privilege.

@imasonfree Name one comedian who is not. What you see is the variety but in reality a comdian with one 'act' goes around and performs it around different places. If you want to criticize, please do so with some knowledge.

@BaykanOnTube @ksduji You guys have got it wrong. The crowd's actually not used to laughing at stereotypes. This is TED. These guys are some of the few whites that are actively fighting stereotypes, poverty, racsim, sexism. You name it, they're doing it.

I could tell that ... ( 5 days ago by Groudie101)
I could tell that this crowd was full of White Americans even if I was blind. They wouldn't find this funny but they'd laugh at the crap that comes out of Kathy Griffin,Whoopi Goldberg, Dane Cook and Sara Silverman's anus..They'd probably laugh at Carrot Top's jokes!. If the jokes aren't on a double digit IQ level that DOES require even a low level of sophistication and world knowledge(politics,geography,etc) then they won't laugh. I'm not saying it's genetic. I think it's a cultural thing.

this man is great. ... ( 3 days ago by borze86)
this man is great. everbody does his/her thing their own way. his way (actually the way of many good comedians) of making people aware(!) of conflicts and prejudice, while making them laugh is so positive i lack the proper words.
i guess this is what people call "the good fight".
honest admiration of a human being believing in peace, harmony and a lot of laughs along the way!

@imasonfree All ... ( 1 day ago by aquaphoenixx)
@imasonfree All comedians have a set of material that they use repeatedly. They can not come out with new hilarious jokes for every show that they attend. Just because you have internet and you have watched a lot of their shows doesn't mean that others have. It is normal to keep telling the joke as much as you can. Later on they will replace them.
