There's something really off about him. I'm not a person who greatly dislikes him, i just find that he is sometimes just there for show. All the other actors on these NYTimes interviews feel so real, and you can connect to them, but i just don't feel the same about Tom.

It's rueful ... at his age you can still see the child striving to be accepted, looking for approval, performing to A+ standards. The million dollar smile, the $10,000/year dental care treatment. The impecable hairdo---not one hair out of place. The tailor fitted clothes, not a crease in disarray. It's saddening.

gosh...i loved tom cruise as a kid. as an adult, i always see his films. i held him to a higher level--unfairly. he got divorced from nic and i was over him. see, that's not fair. i wanted the fairytale. but, with kaite...whatever. the guy jumped on a couch...you know, that's romantic. he let himself feel happy and out of control. that's cool. at least, it would work for me.
