You guys realize that this portrayal of him as some bum off the street is total bull, right? He sang with the Royal Philharmoic and had taken masterclass with Pavaroti. He's slightly below the level of top soloists, but basically he sounds like a professional opera singer. Unfortunately in the world of performance music, there's a big pay gap between the top people and lower ones like Potts. So he goes onto a show where he's a much vocalist than anybody else and uses that to get money.
