I have to disagree with the caller here. Bulgarians are not religious or superstitious because of communism. In fact one of the few good things about communism was the active opposition to religion and superstition. Yes, some scientific theories were twisted for ideological reasons, but on a general scale scientific inquiry and rationalism were promoted.
If anything, religion could be said to have been somewhat boosted after 1990 as a reaction to our communist past.

Oh that gameshow sounds cool actually. I'll temporarily convert to ALL the religions, go on a cool world-trip, then deconvert again.
I'd be like 'Okay you all convinced me... ALL of you! Now give me the world trip!' And afterwards I'd be like 'Well.... after this world trip I've started to realize I made a mistake... I don't actually believe any of that after all. But it was a cool trip and I really learned something! Namely that religion just isn't for me!'
